I know right. It’s pretty quite obvious that Cardcaptor Sakura (CSS) is my favorite anime of all time. It’s not that hard to choose when it come to anime since I haven’t really watch that many unlike Asian dramas. And even though I watched Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Fairy Tail and other really awesome animes, I just can’t give up CCS’s little space in my heart. It brings back childhood memories. I basically grew up supporting Sakura and Syaoran.

Sakura opens the book of Clow Cards

The series is about a fourth grader, nine-year old girl named Sakura Kinomoto who one day accidentally found and opened a mystery book at their basement. The book contains a set of magical cards called the Clow Cards. She has awaken the guardian of the book, Keroberos (Cerberus) who instructed her to collect the cards as having them cluttered around the world may bring chaos. Keroberos lend her the key which turns into a wand used to seal the Clow cards. And that’s when Sakura’s journey of being a cardcaptor begins.

Sakura and Syaoran First Encounters

Syaoran Li, a Chinese far descendant of Clow Reed, the powerful sorcerer who made the cards, moved to Japan to collect that cards as well. He believed he was the one who must be the new master of the Clow cards and having them will gain him more powers.

But no, Syaoran is no villain. Haha. He was introduced as Sakura’s awkward rival but he always tend to help her in difficult times.

Syaoran and Sakura capturing The Sand

I love not just the two but everyone who make up the series, Tomoyo, Meiling, Touya, Yukito and basically everybody else, even Eriol. Hahaha.

I still watch this series from time to time when I want to laugh and relieve some stress. It’s really a classic that will forever be in my disk ready to be played any time 🙂

I have watched every bit of animation I can found with them on it, CCS season 1, 2 and 3, both of its two movies, special Kero-chan and even Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles in where Sakura Kinomoto made a cameo appearance. Hahaha.

I could write a hundred of posts about CCS and that still wouldn’t be enough to discuss this CLAMP’s first world in their fictional multiverse. I actually can still hardly explain everything from CSS to Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles to xxxHolic. It’s just insane!
